Media Center Policies
Our responsibility is to those who are studying. Students who are in the Media Center during lunch or on a pass, must maintain a quiet, respectful attitude toward students and staff. Eating and drinking are not allowed. If students are disrespectful or disruptive, they will be returned to class with a note of explanation.
During the school day, students must have either a gold pass or a signed agenda book. Each student must have their own agenda book. Sign in at the circulation desk and show your pass/agenda book to a staff member. Before school, after school, or during lunch no pass is needed. Students must have their ID Card with them if they plan to check out or renew books, or access the Internet. The ID Card must have an “I” on it to indicate an Internet permission form has been signed.
Reference books may be checked out overnight; all other books may be checked out for two weeks. When books are overdue students will receive a notice in their SPEAR Class. If after two weeks of receiving the notice the book is not returned, all Media Center privileges will be revoked until the book is returned or renewed. Due dates are stamped in the back of the book and the book may be renewed before that date. Lost books must be paid for at the current replacement cost.
Printing is available at $.05/page for black and white and $.50/page for color. The charge to use the copier is $.05/page.
In the school store we sell pens, pencils, paper, poster board, spiral notebooks, etc. Check the price list above the desk for a full list of items. Laminating is $.25 for a paper size item and $.50 for posters.

TV Production
The Media Center is also home to WBGI-TV. The production classes produce Tribal News which airs during SPEAR on Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tribal News you will see news, sports clips, interviews, and special features. If you are interested in being a part of WBGI, look for applications in the Media Center in the spring. You can be on camera or behind the scenes.
The Information Station scrolls on Channel 6 through-out the day. Watch for important information about clubs, college visits, scholarships, meetings, sports, etc.
