FAMILY NIGHT
You are invited to enjoy a picnic and to meet the
CHS Football Players and Coaches
When: Wednesday, May 28th, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Where: CHS Football Field at Joe Etheredge Stadium
Bring your family. All incoming football players wear shorts and report to
field house at 5pm.
Bring a pot luck dinner to share. Soft drinks provided.
Buy CHS Football spirit items from the Spirit Shack.
Buy tickets for the May 29th Spring Game……CHS vs. FWB
Join the Touchdown Club Football Booster Club.
Tour the Field House and Freshman locker room.
CHS TOUCHDOWN CLUB MEETING MINUTES APRIL 7, 2008
Meeting called to order at 5:32 pm by President Chuck Kelley
Board Members Present: Chuck Kelley, Buddy Carter, Michelle Carmical, Rhonda
Hambleton, Tonya Holland, Lynette Jay, Lynn Keefe, Steve Whitworth, Ted Densmore,
Jimmy Campbell.
Board Members Absent: Jim Roberson, Dana Pearce, Dwight Berrong
Present: Ex-Officer Coach Greg Thomas
TDC members present: Ronda Webster, Charles Born, Kathryn McInnis, Carla
Scott, Cara Clark, Denise Lawson, Rick and Denise Morgan, Addie Roebuck,
Julie Gordon
Minutes of March 17th meeting were reviewed and approved by majority vote
Financial Report:
Treasurer Michelle Carmical did not have the bookkeeper’s report.
Chuck Kelley presented for approval by vote a proposed budget for 2008/2009.
The proposed budget was accepted by majority vote. This budget may be amended
and changed.
A major change was the proposed reduction in TDC money allotted for tailgating.
The TDC members will continue the tradition of the tailgating, but the meat
will not be supplied. It’ll be “bring your own” dish with an organized
effort to diversify player’s families’ donations.
OLD BUSINESS:
Beach Towel sales: Lynn Keefe brought $1380 to the table from sales. There
have been approximately 200 towels sold. 248 need to be sold to bring in
a profit.
We will continue selling these at school events through the spring and
summer months.
Season Ticket chance Drawing: Buddy Carter is creating packet of 5 tickets
for each player to sell for $10. The tickets will be sold in May. The winning
ticket
will be drawn May 29th at the Spring Game. The winner receives 4 reserved
seats at each of the 5 home games.500 tickets will be printed. We are hoping
for a
$5000 profit.
Golf Tournament: Jimmy Campbell and Jeff Peters will organize the tournament
during the coming weeks. He will provide us a list of the sponsors. The
tournament date is June 27th at 12:30 at the FWB Golf Course. There will
be an auction,
too. New flyers with corrected contact information are needed.
Spring Game: Committee planning meeting is April 14th at 4:30 in the field
house. The 8th Grade representatives are Cara Clark, Julie Gordon, Marybeth
Mills, Beverly
Crews, and Betty Dalton.

NEW BUSINESS:
Lynn Keefe brought a $1000 check from orthodontist Billy Neale for a
TDC Corporate Sponsor.
New membership forms are desired. Tommy Gaynoe, Membership Chairperson
is requested to produce an updated and corrected form. These will be
distributed to members
so that they can solicit donors and gather memberships. We also requested
an updated membership and sponsor list. This can be posted on the TDC
Website.
COACH’S CORNER:
Coach Thomas announced that the new Strength and Offensive Line Coach
has arrived. His name is Addison Kendrick. He coached with Coach Thomas
in
N.C.
The new weight room is completed and looks great.
The new boards look great. Coach thanked Charles Born who has really
helped with this.
