Draw Down Dinner

Choctawhatchee High School's National Championship Cheerleading Team is hosting their 6th Annual "Draw Down" Dinner on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008, at the Emerald Coast Conference Center. Advanced tickets cost $100 and include admission, dinner for two and the chance to win $5,000 and will feature live entertainment by Jones & Company.

All proceeds will be used to help the National Competition Team to compete in Dallas, Texas at the NCA National Cheerleading Competition in December 2008 and at the Florida State Competition in February 2009. The Choctawhatchee High School Cheerleaders are proud to be the 2004-05, 2005-06, and current 2007-08 NCA National Champions. Last year they added two more national titles. The varsity squad was crowned 2006-07 Cheersport National Champions (Varsity coed divison) and the Junior Varsity squad was named 2006-07 Cheersport National Champions (Junior Varsity division). The squad has also been crowned State Champions seven times.

The squad is looking forward to competing in the state’s first FHSAA State Championship in March, as well as adding another national title in Dallas in December. Over the summer, at NCA’s Performance Camp in Tampa, The Junior Varsity won the Champion Chant competition as well as first place in the Jam Session (Top Team). The Varsity squad also won the Champion Chant competiton as well as first place in the Jam Session. Both squads won a bid to Nationals.

The squad won many individual and group awards including: Top Gun all-girl group stunt, Top Gun jumps, and Top Gun Partner Stunt. The squad also had twenty-one members selected for NCA’s All-American team and had three seniors nominated for NCA staff.
